Introducing our brand new for 2022, Harris our Ford Transit Custom Campervan. This fantastic campervan is spacious and easy to drive. Perfect accommodation for couples and families looking to hire a campervan in Inverness. Our 2+2 berth pop-top campervan seats and sleeps up to 4 people. Easy to drive and manoeuvre due to its size. It comes with power-assisted steering, reversing camera and parking sensors. Allowing you to tackle the narrow Highland roads and passing places with ease!
 
The double rear seat has 2 seat belts which then converts into a comfortable double bed at night. When you raise the pop-top roof a 2nd double bed is revealed! This luxury camper comes with everything you will need to enjoy your holiday. Complete with a 2 ring gas hob, sink, fridge and plenty of storage space. This camper is perfect choice if you are looking to hire a campervan in Inverness, the gateway to the Highlands!

We had a brilliant time with Hector travelling around the NC500. The campervan had lots of space of all of our bits and accomdated our 3 year old cockapoo too. Woudl definately hire from them again.

We had a fabulous week enjoying the astounding landscapes in the far northwest in Ollie. Beautifully equipped van with everything we needed, easy to drive, ample space for two, and Mark was very thorough in his briefing. Glad we had a van and not an oversized motorhome, allowing us to easily get down the narrow Highlands roads away from the NC500 crowds. We would definitely highly recommend Highland Auto Campers, and are already thinking about a return trip.

This was our very first Camper Van experience and we have to say that from the comprehensive briefing on the 'how to' from Mike to the application of the information was a seamless process even for a couple of novices! The van was spotless, really well equipped and ample for two adults! The collection and handover process, excellent. Thank you - we will be returning for a longer trip in 2022!

This was our first campervan experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it we hired Ruby for 6 nights the whole process of hiring was very simple and Mark gave a simple but comprehensive guide before we set off. The van and all the equipment was clean and well looked after, the fridge was amazing the supplies provided were a nice touch and very handy we had a great adventure the views along the NC500 were breathtaking would highly recommend the company and Scotland

We did the NC500 in Hector for a week. I was initially very nervous about driving a campervan, but Hector was so smooth and great to drive. We had everything we could possibly need, and it really made our trip special. Mark was so helpful and thoroughly went through everything we needed to know on arrival which is all reiterated in a manual. My only regret is not hiring Hector for longer... will defiantly be back 🙂

A fantastic trip. We rented the Ollie campervan which was really well equipped with everything we needed for our adventure around Skye. Mark was super helpful and professional with everything we needed and provided a great service. Would highly recommend!

Had an awesome holiday touring Scotland and the Nc500. We hired our camper van (Skye) from Highland Auto Campers and were completely blown away by the service received from Mark and Alicia... Every detail about the van was first class. This was our first time using a camper van and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The facilities were amazing and attention to detail brilliant and well thought out.The van was was warm comfortable and really easy to drive. I would highly recommend using Highland Auto Campers.

Beautifully made vans that are immaculately clean. We had a wonderful whip around the North Coast 500 in 'Skye'. The space is ample and surprisingly comfortable to sleep in. It was a great home on the road. Thanks Mark for all your help.

All our hire campervans are fully equipped with everything you will need for your holiday. Each of our campers come with the following as standard:

What to expect when you hire a campervan

How to book

Our live online booking system is always up to date. So you can check availability, prices or book your campervan hire at any time. Once you have booked, we will keep you updated with useful information to help you plan your holiday. We will also notify you of key dates in the run-up to your holiday.

Securing your camper

To secure your holiday we only need a 25% deposit. The balance will be payable 28 days before the start of your campervan adventure.
 
A £750 security deposit is payable 2 days before the start of your holiday. This will be refunded 7 days after the safe return of your campervan. Please see our Terms and conditions for full details.

Getting here

The start of your holiday couldn’t be easier. If you are driving here you can leave your car with us for the duration of your hire. Or for a relaxing start to your campervan holiday, why not fly or catch the train to Inverness? We can arrange transfers from either Inverness airport or the city centre. This means you will arrive relaxed and ready for your campervan adventure!

Full instruction provided

Upon arrival, we will carry out a full demonstration of your campervan (please allow at least 1 hour for this). This will mean you set off on your holiday confident in the use of all the campervan features. Each camper comes with a detailed user manual should you forget anything. We are also always on hand if you need us 24/7!

Campervan Hire Insurance

Insurance for additional drivers is available at no extra cost. Drivers will need to be aged 25-74 with a full, clean driving licence which has been held for at least 2 years.

Insurance for overseas drivers

We can also provide insurance for non-UK drivers from:

If your licence was issued in a country other than those listed, please contact us before making a booking.

Camper hire for drivers under 25 and over 74

It is also possible for us to offer insurance for drivers under the age of 25 and over the age of 74. This will be subject to a higher security deposit. Please check with us before booking.

Proof of address

We will need all drivers to provide proof of identity and address before your hire starts. Please ensure your driving licence is up to date if you have recently moved.

On and off grid camping

On grid camping

If you want to use the 3 pin 240v sockets within the camper then you'll need to book hook up on your campsites. Maybe you'll need to charge up cameras for all the amazing photo opportunities! This will also charge your leisure battery.

Off grid camping

Power onboard your campervan is by a leisure battery. This will keep the fridge, lighting, heating and USB sockets working. The battery is charged when driving, and via a solar panel - yes this even works in Scotland!
